See the worry in Takealot's eye?

If you check the news article naspers just pumped R700 odd million - they can't afford to lose clients, every R50 client adds up.
Anyhow as they keep pumping in more money they going to struggle to get it back. Pity it wasn't kalahari that swallowed up takealot, I personally found them better, though they did have enough haters as well.

Didn't we as taxpayers pump a few billion into SAA a while back?

Same logic.

Not at all. One has a bottomless pit of tax payers money to waste, the other is a business with share holders to answer to. Naspers can't really afford for takealot to go under....though I'm with the OP here, I find them to be crappy, others don't - For me, they are too much of a hit and miss, whereas when Amazon stuff up or something doesn't feel right, they go out of their way and beyond, with takealot, more like meh, whatever.

That does not matter to me at all. They did so with each and every order I placed, but the goods are delivered in 1 business day, irrelevant if the quote says 14 days. It is their deviance from this that caused me to leave them and go elsewhere. In addition to the fact that my budget allows me to spend 3k maximum on delivery if it means I can get it tomorrow, which they are not interested in.

You are going to have a real hard time in the real world when you start signing contracts and SLA's

If they don't want to go under then they shouldn't have built that huge warehouse in montague gardens. I cringe at the thought of the costs involved to build it.

Fking Dominoes Pizza.
Ordered 30 large fully loaded pizzas. Was told delivery would be an hour. Told them I'll pay extra if they can do it in 15 minutes.
They said they can't.
Fjk them. I'll take my business elsewhere.

Yep. Sounds like similar logic. You just forgot to add how much it cost you for all your orders thus far. That drives the point of you being the most important customer and how much Dominoes will miss your money...

Bloody stupid logic if you ask me...

OP should go deal with Telkom. Perspective is sorely needed in his life.

Could be.. Sonic2k was banned in October and then Toothless suddenly appeared at the same time and followed the same patterns.

House is Toothless
Koosi/Sonic is the one with just numbers for a user name

Well, I know I have been telling everyone the good service I received from Takealot the past month. I ordered around R20-30K in products from them. All delivered without a hitch.

On Tuesday I placed another 9K order, and I had to wait for some goods that was not in stock. Last night they received all goods and the system was updated. This morning, before 6, the system was updated again with goods being shipped and is still at the warehouse.

I know it is Friday and I suspected that the goods may not be delivered today. So, I thought I would contact both Takealot and Mr. Delivery to see if I can pay more to have my goods delivered today or tomorrow (on Staurday). Well, Takealot said the order was processed too far and they cannot assist. Mr. Delivery said it was still at the warehouse and although they deliver weekends, they would need to see if they can assist.

Well, it is now 14:00 and the goods are still at the warehouse, has not even been collected. Have not heard back from Mr. D. It is clear they are all playing for time to ensure they cannot deliver today.

This is enough for me to say good-bye to Takealot. If they are not interested in my money, I am no longer in their services.

Yes, 20-30K is not a lot of money, but I still needed to order 32K in products this coming month.

So, time for me to try out Woot, eBay or some other providers.

Thanks to Takealot, it has been fun, but I do not like being taken for a ride. Will be closing my account the moment I receive my goods, whenever.

Sounds like they are probably better off without you tbh.

lol, good luck avoiding takealot, I give it a month at least and you'll be signing up all over again.

Whatever.

I changed to Raru cause Takealot.com always had stock issues on preorders so they ended up coming late, but when I have Ebucks to use I have to use Takealot.com, wish Raru would become an Ebucks partner.
