Doogee S50

Ok so going on 3 weeks now.

I am running 2 sims (MTN and Telkom) so using upto 45% battery every day.
Edit: Also note that I have wifi, BT and location on all the time. Wifi only connects to my router at home (evenings and meal times). BT I use to listen to music which is very, very seldom (average 1 hour per day). I do know that location uses battery, but not so much that I panic about the battery going below 40% in a single day.

I spent the weekend at home this last weekend and only used 20% the whole weekend. So good "standby" time there. Wifi was on and connected.

All is going well. No problems so far. Dropped it a few times and I has landed in the water more than once.

I quickly got used to size and weight. Much prefer the fingerprint sensor on the back and have logged both right and left fingers. Haven't tried the facial recognition yet. Don't think it would recognise me in the mornings anyway.

One thing I wish: reprogramming the SOS button to something useful.

Look out for the new BL9000.
I am interested in the Doogie S 50 too but was wondering about the battery. Specifically what type of quick charge technology they use. Mtp pump express, Qualcomm Quick Charge 2, 3 or 4 etc. I want to get a spare charger but want to be sure I get the correct one. Does the S 50 use the new type C plug or the older micro USB? Do you perhaps have a picture of the charger plug and specs on the charger. Thanks in advance.

Uses the standard micro usb. Type C plugs are only coming in with the BL9000 (and hopefully all the future phones). It comes with the standard Doogee 5V 2000mAh. I never worry about fast charging. I put my phone on charge every night and its normally around 50-60%.

Thanks for the information. How is the camera on this phone. The quality of the pictures.

They are ok. Good enough to share stuff on IM's and the like. I rather use my DSLR for taking photos.

I can take a few photos with it and post them if you want.

For those days when it's pouring with rain but you have to play.

Doogee don't do particularly good cameras. Not sure if it's the software. I only take photos for reference or to IM. I never buy a phone based on its camera because I will use a DSLR for photos I want to keep.
