Personally, I'll be very surprised if 'person' managed to do anything positive at this point, keeping in mind that TheYak has been waiting for his refund for 3 months now.

Debbie, I wish I could be as positive as what you are... maybe once I have an apology, a new card and my money that I was promised almost three months ago, I'll be able to put this behind me and give him the said benefit and forgiveness.

Until then... *shrug*

Thanks man! I'm actually gonna ask my step-son if I can borrow my old card from him. He's writing exams so it's not like he's gonna play games. :)

Thanks for the offer though.

Brian Gibello

I have been reading this thread with much interest. Now I don't know Person from Adam, but what from what I have read,I can tell you is that he is a fraud. I read in a previous post WRT a VAT number.
http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showpost.php?p=558886&postcount=260
I checked said VAT number on the SARS website http://www.sarsefiling.co.za/?location=VatVSearch.asp and have found it to be false. I am sure that SARS would love to see invoices from people that have bought from Brian Gibello with the false VAT number on the invoice.

Incubus and TheYak do you have an invoice from Dot It?
According to CIPRO website that name to is not registered, does the invoice state trading as DOT IT?
I personally would have laid a charge of fraud ages ago, even if our police system did nothing to follow up, at least you have an official record of the crime, because, let's face that is exactly what it is. Should you decide to take the matter further, to small claims court perhaps, you have concrete evidence to show that you had in fact reported the crime.

Person/ Brian or what ever your name is, buddy, you are taking a serious @ss whipping here, dude, do you even comprehend the ramifications of your actions? Do you even understand that even if there is one invoice with a fraudulent VAT number that SARS will have your @ss in the slammer so fast, you won't be able to wipe the sleep out your eye's.
You really need to take stock of your actions thus far, take a step back and ask yourself WTF!! All of this could have been easily avoided, but ya had to play the hard@ass. So ask yourself, how have I cocked up my life today? You have zero credibility with the MyADSL, Prophecy and PCBG forumites. This equates to, I don't know, about 40% of the computer geeks in SA, myself included of course. Do you really think that anyone of them is going to actually buy a stick of memory from you again? But the ramifications are far reaching, there are members from Australia, UK and USA, that now have seen your true colours. What do you think there reaction will be, when they see a mailer from you with your current specials.
Did you know that 1 out every 5 customers that you give good service to, will tell someone, and 4 out of every 5 you give bad service to will do the same. Go figure!!
Seriously, if you were to give me the service you gave to Incubus and TheYak, to name a few, I would have been at your door so fast, you would still be drinking through a straw.
You are giving the one man shows, myself included, a bad name. Running away from your problems now, will not help you, perhaps you should seek an alternative source of employment, as your business is, how shall I say.........FCKED. excuse the french.
If you want to lay a charge against me for defamation, BRING IT ON. The Admin can supply you with my personal details.

His rep still took a dive though...

Thing is that the consequences are going to be far reaching - people are going to dig up every little piece of dirt on him and expose it publically. Whereas if he maintained a little bit of integrity in the first place and treated his customers with some dignity, every small part of his life wouldn't be made public and all of this would have been avoided. So hopefully lesson learned, but it's too little too late I'm afraid. Let's hope that anybody else out there with a similar line of thought as Person would have learnt from his mistakes and made them think twice before they act.

LOL does this mean that Person has been avoiding the tax man?

It would seem that way, although that is pure speculation from my side. Provided he did not make more than 20K a month he is not required to be a VAT vendor, however Should he exceed 300K a year it is compulsory to be VAT registered. There is no excuse, SARS don't buy the " I didn't know, I'm sorry" Act. It's a fine, end of story.

Nothing, but we all know who Brian Gibello is, so if the guy you are buying from gives you Brain Gibello's bank acc details, or any other member of the Gibello Clan, you kick hm to the curb.
In saying that he could get a mate to open up a bank account, and carry on his shameful ways.
But i think a valuable lesson has been learnt here.
1 Ask for the company reg details if not stated on the quote
2 Check for VAT registration if supplied/quoted
3 Don't deal with BG aka Person aka NE1Person

Just my 2 cents

BG the offer still stands wrt lawsuits.:D

But did he charge VAT? That is equally important. If you charge VAT you need a VAT number.

Well The Yak, I really hope you get your refund as I had to be a persistent mother but I suppose it worked. I truly can say that I know what you're going through

This has not been a very good experience for us, I must say.

I actually still don't know if i'm gonna get the case on Monday but we'll see. Like Debbie2 says we'll give him the benefit of the doubt here but I'm not holding my breath.
