7-8 weeks in a market like IT is bloody terrible. That said, there have been some good reports on Person. Perhaps he'll reply himself?

@vamp: Testimonials are easy to fake... For example:

R. Muller, JHB: I've never had such good service before! Telkom has truly shown me the light and demonstrated the amazing service level and delivery we should all come to expect.

:D :D :D

(No Telkom, you may not use that statement in any shape, form or manner)
Nasty! NAsty! Will report it as a bad post to be removed! Then Telkom cannot use it anyway!:D

well seeing as i was closed for the last month, and im away on a buisness meeting, there is not much i can do... at this time. When i get back to work on thrusday, i'll try and sort this mess out.

I have not checked mail because i have been away.

Here is a prime example. Instead of person actually contacting me directly about this issue he posts here on this forum! See what I have to deal with. You forget that I made the order before last month and it was supposed to be shipped to my house. Why did it not come to my house, you have to ask yourself? There we go another week before I see anything happening. Just to let you guys know person has still not emailed me about it and still chooses to ignore me. It's called buying time and bad business. If my case is at Dotcomputers, why did it got there and not my address.

I'll let you answer that question.

It's a redesign thing and he's moved to Boston USA and he's gonna source stuff direct from US so hopefully we'll see cheaper prices.

Seems like he's doing damn well! Send us some pics of Boston, Person!
will do. I was going to start taking orders from the 1st, but had some problems with the shipping cart code, but the site will be up soon and the prices should be 25% less than Retail SA prices... well thats the Idea.

Well I thought if my case is already here in Cape Town then why not just get it to me. I mean if it's here already then what's the issue. We'll see what person does.

Does any serious business close for a month?

Since when has being away prevented someone from checking and answering their mail?

I was recently on a cruise in the Caribbean and I still managed to check and answer my emails every day. And I don't even own an online shop.

Your reply is a shocker.

There is no point in me checking mail, as i dont have pricelists or tracking numbers with me. So i dont, if he must contact someone he can just E-mail [email protected] and they'll give him the prices.

The least you could do is check your mail and let clients know that you are away/closed.

Yes. This whole thing is shocking. Caveat emptor.

The people here have a good point person... closing an online business for a month is pretty much insane. And it really is just simple courtesy to let your valued customers know that you'll be unavailable.

Also, the nature of online business should be such that you don't ever need to close down as long as you have any internet connection... surely you should have access to your tracking numbers and price lists when you're away from the office?

Are there any particular reasons why incubate's case cannot be sent to him soonish (as it is already in CT)?

It does kinda worry me that incubate had to register here to get any sort of answer...

Have to add my 5c here,

This might be that 1 case that fell through the cracks but at least if you're gonna be closed for a month use a Auto Responder so peeps are not left in the dark.

Perhaps even try to sound somewhat apologetic to this customer, what i got from your response was "yeah whatever".

Person, i would deliver goods inPerson :p with a gift to say sorry ... your antics are resembling Telscum  , the "don't care about my customers attitude" ... i don't need them  , they need me mentality ... i hope you do not dotBOMB because of this ... this is my 5c worth, use it don't use it ... whatever blows your hair back ...
y was the internet developed?

Person I think your attitude towards incubate is unacceptable, it sounds like you are just saying "deal with it, I'm busy"...

I've been speaking with incubate and he has a fair case. He ordered and paid for this product before Brian left for the states/closed down for a month.

I really do belive that it is Brian in the wrong (again) and not incubate.

- my 2c

Well we haven't heard much from person yet so let's just let him have his say before we start appointing blame :p

Person he clearly doesn't want a price you chop, he's already paid for it.

And Person what have you been doing all this time? No access to your own pricelists...tut tut.

Also have to agree with the general sentiment that closing a business for a month is commercial suicide and no access to email? Are you saying you don't know how to foward email to your own inbox?
