What is the point of this compendium thingy. Seems expensive. Is it worth it. I was wondering if I just shouldn't buy my favourite hero sets rather?

Adds an element of fun to the whole thing. You make plenty of predictions and get to choose your favourite player and team and a whole bunch of other stuff. Definitely worth it.

Nope, it's not the same. It's like watching a kickboxing match live, while it happens, versus watching the same match the next morning. It feels like you missed out on the action.

Because people only want the stuff I bought. And even when it comes to friends I would only trade duplicates, which is a hassle to sort though.

Steam needs to have a sort for duplicates thing.

One issue with the compendium - when the game starts and they show everyones' points and you see the other team all have compendiums of 30 <.. And your team all have none, you know the game is gonna suck.

Why? There are plenty of noobs with high level compendiums.
