Dota 2 TI4 Compendium - out now.

Me too, but at least yours shows how much better you are than me

There were some MYBB folk watching TI yesterday, had some nice chats - anyone around?

Watched my first game yesterday, those guys are really good. Interesting to see all of the tactics and good explanations by the commentators.

Yeah - was listening to Pupey commentating. No wonder he is part of one of the best teams around. His knowledge regarding the game is insane.

How was mouse coming back from 2 - 0 down to beat VP 3 - 2??? :O Insane stuff!

I almost ripped my hair out when VP lost. Don't like zee Germans.

It's the 3rd or 4th time in a row that mouz won the qualifiers.

:D

I don't really mind - good games are good. I was uber impressed with Pajkatt's Slark! Then they decide to ban him for game 3 and he takes arguably his strongest hero in NP... I chuckled.

VP was entirely at fault with the slark, letting a strong mid game carry free farm like that. I think he had brown boots and blink at around 5min?

I can't believe they didn't pick doom. Don't think he was banned.

Ye - something like that. It's not often you see a blink on Slark, but it is quite OP. Watch pubs getting STOMPED by Slarks all over the place... :D

I know Doom was banned in game 5 but was one of the last two IIRC.

IMHO you should not be banning a hero because someone in the other team is good with him - just pick a counter. It's like trying to lock down Dendi by not giving him Shadow Fiend. He can still play an insane Puck, Invoker, Pudge... actually take your pick.Just deal with the combinations. try and counter as far as you can without completely screwing your own gameplan.

Dendi can play anything :).

Those damn piano hands clicks faster than the chinks.

Except you ALWAYS ban Wisp against FNATIC. Sometimes Wisp AND Tiny both.

The other tactic is to also pick the hero they good with. Lots of teams now play support Mirana against C9 so SingSing doesn't get it.

Agreed. Singsing is INSANE on that Mirana.

Like XBOCT on Spectre.

Mirana is just overall a good hero. I'm not saying SingSing isn't good at playing it, but the notion that they pick it to deny C9 from playing it is a bit far-fetched. It's not unheard of, but Mirana is a top tier pick at the moment which teams value a lot. Sort of what happens when a hero receives massive buffs.

Agreed Misfit, but I think what Chevron means is that teams would rather play a support Mirana (great carry) than let SingSing loose with it.

But I get what you are saying - it's like teams picking Wraith as a support for early game and then if it does go long then they have an additional carry/tank for late game.

Not really what I was saying, but I guess that's part of it. Mirana is just highly valued in the current meta, so teams pick her up (it isn't just C9)

SingSing was the one that started the Mirana trend we have now. The commentators even have that saying for him now "Shoot arrow, hit arrow".

His hit rate with arrow is insane.

And Mirana hasn't been touched buff/nerf wise in ages.

That's exactly what I mean yes.
