It's lovely being in the 1000 MMR mash potato bracket :)

Here we play by using the mouse only.

[500 MMR - Trackpad only] Real skill bracket.
You joke but I have a mate who plays dota with a track pad. He is surprisingly good considering.

He won't win TI anytime soon but you know, he can move the hero around and use his abilities and he even kills people every now and then. Certainly does better than I would on a track pad.

I honestly don't think I could be bothered at that point. Playing on a tiny laptop screen must be tough enough, but trying to use a track pad must be almost impossible.

Why doesn't he just get a regular keyboard and plug in directly into usb and use that instead?

I assume you mean "mouse" not "keyboard".

I play dota on a laptop. It is a minor disadvantage I suppose but it isn't that bad. I play consistently in what DotaBuff calls "High Skill" and I think that is probably somewhere in the low 2k MMR area so it can't be holding me back that badly.

Track pad is another matter entirely though. I don't think I could cope.

Derp. You are right. I mean mouse. Brain has been broken since Easter.

Afaik, low 2 k is considered Normal. High is actually around 3.2 k. I stand to be corrected though, but pretty sure it around there.

Anything over 3.8 is Very high.

Honestly I doubt I'm good enough at dota to be in the 3k bracket. I guess we will find out when we all start playing ranked games ;)

Wut? You say im crap but im 2750 MMR, really not that far from 3k.
I never said you're crap. I said if you're battling to win games you're likely in the MMR that is right for you so quit complaining and improve your game. I also said you appear to be in the habit of blaming your teammates and not carrying a portion of that blame yourself. None of that means you're a crap player.

Relatively speaking though we're all garbage. There are okes out there just under 9k man... 9-freaking-k.

Besides one doesn't have to be better than another person to regard them as a poor player. I'm not a Springbok yet I can tell, relative to other players, who is performing on a rugby field and who isn't. Your performance is relative to the general dota population, not me (9k bro, we're scrubs). I may also be crap but that doesn't make you suddenly good. Otherwise we could regard Mozambique as a success story because it is less screwed up than Somalia. It doesn't work like that lol. :p

That dude is clearly 6000 MMR, as trackpad dokta takes superior skillz!

D: I can't even navigate the menu without looking for the mouse... But to be fair, I'm just one of those people that don't like track pads in general.

As a special bonus to fans attending the event, we will be dropping unique in-game items to audience members inside of the arena. At First Blood in each individual game, 500 exclusive Attendee Treasures will drop, each containing visually-unique versions of this year’s Secret Shop Immortals. To be eligible, you must have a badge linked to a Steam account and be in the arena when First Blood occurs.

Lucky sods!!!
