Nada! Fark valve, never giving me any very rare items!
I actually kind of liked buying the compendium last TI. Got all the challenges done, had fun with it. Also felt like I was contributing to dota as before that I'd spent next to nothing on the game for all the years I've played it. It wasn't about the items.

As did I. I also had my compendium at level 90 something I think.

However 40 of each chest and not one bladdy very rare! I am done spending massive amounts of money on each compendium.

Oh no I don't spend a ton of money on the compendiums. I buy the base compendium, get as far as I can get on my own steam without injecting more cash and then sometimes upgrade it a few levels to get to the next major reward and call it a day. I never max them. Not worth it.

Will rather do something like this. Maxed all the compendiums so far (That I was around for.)

I've bought the three the majors (well going to get the next one)... But just the base... And last year I got compendium + 50 levels bundle... After that I just let it take its course. Nice to but a few rands into the game I enjoy so much...

Got a few rands back the other day buy selling a riki mythical drop I got xD

On the topic of MMR when I was visiting my cousin in the UK and I played with his friends who were all 5k MMR. I wasn't too impressed with their game play (slow hands), Itemization (weren't reading the game) or tactics (rush mid 5 times in a row and get murdered 5 times/lose).

They all starting asking me what to buy next and what to do after a few games.

I'm don't think of myself as a great player at all but it lead me to believe 5k in Europe really isn't that tough to crack. I also wonder if its harder to get 5k in china/America then Europe.

Hey, take it as a compliment... I like to watch the higher skill rated players on my friends list and pick up hints and tips from them...

Unless its your meepo... :p

Hahahaha! :(

I tried playing meepo, just can't do it.

lol, tried maybe 20 games in a row, not for me.

At one point Meepo was one of my best heroes. Haven't played him in ages. I've probably lost the muscle memory for blink-poofs by now. :(

The loss of the reduced respawn timer was a rather large nerf. He just isn't the hero he used to be. :(

I was pretty new to the game at around that time, so never really got how it worked. Why did he have such a short re spawn timer?

It was part of his ult. At lvl 3 it granted him 30% reduced respawn time (starting from 10% at lvl1 and 20% at lvl 2). Then they changed it to grant 20% at all levels. Then they removed it completely a couple of patches ago.

It gave him a big advantage in the mid game. He has always been able to farm very very fast. In the mid game it wasn't unusual to see a meepo 5 or 6 levels ahead of the other team's safelane carry with 1 or 2 more major items. The way to stop a Meepo has usually been to shut him down early to prevent the snowball (stop him before he can get those clones out across the map farming). That respawn timer reduction meant that a death for Meepo hurt him a lot less than it does now. Shutting him down used to mean consistently committing resources to killing him. He came back 30% faster than everyone else and just kept farming relentlessly.

Blink always. Unless you don't possess the reaction times and micro skills to perform a decent blink poof in which case just stack stats items (skadi, heart etc.). Depending on their lineup if you get a Reaver early on Meepo then it doesn't matter as much if you're slow.

Just came across this and figured I'd share. SA ranked mm stats have gone up 44% in the past 24 hours. Things are looking up after all, it may not be much but a start just the same.
