14 of the 20 games I'm support. I normally play SD,AR or RD with the occasional AP and pick what the team needs for the lineup.

If everyone jumps on carry I'll support and if everyone jumps on supports I'll carry.

If you are so good why not start an amateur team like most of my VERY HIGH skilled friends are and compete in UCG league win some matches and try get picked up by better teams? Maybe then Dota will be reinvigorated for you.

Haha, I played DGC 2 years in a row.

I play very high skill.

Also never said "I am so good".

Nah man don't play "Do Gaming League" those games are laughable. Try https://www.ugcleague.com/ get some real exposure and play with some real hardcore players from all over the world. Only prob is you play home, away (EU), home, away (America) so you gotta learn to play with 200-400ping.

Not really sure as I very rarely play with other people, I prefer solo, which always finds a match before 5min mark, it's all relative I guess.
I've been solo queuing ranked but I haven't done it in so long that I think my solo MMR is very much lower than my group MMR which probably skews the results somewhat.

Deadmanza, lets play some games this weekend, I'll show you what a support looks like with brown boots 30 minutes into the game.
LOL reminds me of that song about the support asking if she will ever get boots this game.

I usually play whatever role is needed and that often ends up being position 5. I know the pain. :D

These days I'm mostly in High and it takes me about 5-10min to find an unranked with a 5 stack. Is it honestly quicker at Normal Skill level?

It is. Especially solo queue. I find matches in bout 3 - 4 minutes every time I searched unranked. Some days I'm like "Why is this taking so long!" And then only after looking at the timer, I seen I've been waiting for 2 minutes :p

When I do stack with mates who play at higher level, waiting times are a bit longer.

But I totally get why it takes longer the high skill you are to find a game as the balancing is a lot tougher.

I don't often watch him Stream, but some days RTZ has to wait 30 - 45 minutes to find a game, purely cause his MMR is so much higher than the rest of the region he plays in. So the balancing is a lot tougher.

Interesting. I'm likely near the bottom of High Skill as I've only recently moved into a position where my group games are consistently High Skill with little to no Normals (though I think I'm still comfortably in Normal for solo). Maybe that is why I only wait like 10min for a game. As you get higher that wait time likely goes up and up as the player base your MMR algorithm allows you access to is ever-shrinking.

Porchrat, I caught the last few minutes of your LC game this weekend when you got a RAMPAGE, some entertaining game play all round from both teams.

LOL thanks man I remember that game. Me getting a rampage is a rare thing indeed. The guys I queue with tend to call me "Objective Gaming Melon" :D

That was probably one of the best coordinated fights I've ever been in. The guys all played very well.

We must definitely play again soon. I keep wanting to invite you but we miss each other most times. :(

I keep pulling Deadmanza's leg saying we should play a few games, but in reality, me playing in high/very high matches just isn't fun at all, since I'm not nearly skilled enough to perform on that level.

I don't mind feeding when I play solo, but doing it in a stack is not what I consider fun, unless that is the team strat :D

If this is the case then you are miles ahead of the "support" players that have sheepstick/orchard/euls by 30 min, yet we have zero wards and the courier still trots along.

Lol the courier part really makes me laugh, as I see that so often when spectating, or on the enemy team.

I've played mid in the past quite frequently,so I know that getting your items as fast as possible is extremely important and that having a ward mid is a must, so I do that as a support player. I can safely say that no one has ever done that for me when playing mid.

I still love dota though, the 1 month break was a very good decision on my part :)

Have you considered opening a Smurf account so that you can have some fun again?

It depends on the stack and which mates you playing with. If I get invite to a game by a Dota friend that I don't play with often, I'll go into try hard mode, as I don't wanna ruin their game... But if it with my real life friends... Every game one of us will try something new. Bout week ago I tried out Brood with the friendly stack, and it didn't go well at all. We all just laughed our asses off at how piss poor my micro skills were.

ROOOFL!

Pudge + Techies = Tryhard?

No man, that is super easy to counter, with a little map awareness and some decent wards. The fact that you got romped by this combo makes me sad.

Techies + Tusk is another story.

Wait, WAIT , wwwwait, looks at this awesome ranked game line up I had to suffer with this weekend......words cannot describe it further, ps I picked ogre support first, I think techies picked 4th/5th

Played with a guy this weekend who came on the mic and said "don't freak out, I'm going to pick techies". Half the team groaned in frustration and then he said "no, I promise I'm a decent techies". He destroyed so hard. Haven't seen a techies dominate so hard since before the nerf.

He is an unconventional hero, and pre-nerf he was my favourite hero (I had like an 85% win rate with him or something) but I still insist that a good techies player can absolutely decimate a game.

I have nothing against techies, but in this particular game it wasn't even remotely close to being the correct pick.
