Got hard stomped last night, axe, omni, pudge,WD and jugg. Their team dynamic was amazing, shut down our farm and pushed hard and early. Was impressive to say the least.

Hahaha! I reckon I might be safe (or at least my wallet will be) this compendium.

We will wait and see :p I'll be getting the Compendium this year again. Prob the one with 50 levels too, assuming Valve do it like they did last year.

Since the introduction of the majors I haven't bothered with any compendiums/battle passes or whatever they called, might consider the TI6 one though, but doubtful at this stage.

In fact I've completely stopped buying anything dota related, use to spend a fair amount on tickets to watch some tourneys, but have since switched to twitch.tv instead as I find the casters on there more entertaining, plus they really do a lot extra production wise.

How much was a Ti5 Compendium?

And was it worth it?
I found the Winter battle Pass was good value for money, consider what you got. Assuming that you managed to make it far through the challenges, which was fun either way.

I think the base compendium was like $10. Can't remember how much they sold the level 50 compendium for.

I had fun with the compendium, got a ton of sets from it, did all the hero challenges, got quite a few predictions correct. None of the big stuff though.

I bought TI 5 compendium but never really got something great out of it, all the other battle passes you payed once off and you could get everything. TI compendium you have to buy the initial compendium and they keep adding stuff and more stuff so you pay more.

Imo ill probs buy a compendium again but not expect that much, At least got a golden devourling in the previous battle pass.

Normally 9.99 dollars or 25 dollars for the level 50 one.

I say they are a good buy if you can fit in 100 or so games during the compendium period, if you can't they are a waste.

Yea like this year I'm likely to be away on a business trip and I'm unsure how much dota I'll get to during that period. Likely very little. I may not bother with the compendium this year.

Like others have said, it depends how much you play. Personally, I say it is worth it. For the amount of hours I put into the game, and considering it pretty much the only thing I play now days, I don't minding sinking a couple hundred ZAR into it once a year. The last game I bought was the Division, and before that... I think BF4.

You get a lot of items from it too. To be honest, must of them, despite being immortal, are actually pretty cheap on the market once TI hype dies down, but sometimes you get something super rare worth big bucks.

One my friends got the golden armadillo last year. Only figured out the other day that it is worth a couple thousand bucks!

For TI4 I didn't bother with the compendium. I just went onto the market and bought all the immortals I wanted for a handful of rands after the dust had settled :p

Did the same for the immortals I didn't get in the TI5 compendium (I bought it but honestly you have to pour so much cash into it to get all the immortals).

I did the same with TI5 (was my first TI compendium. Only got into Dota after TI4) Managed to pick up the remaining immortals that I wanted once they hit the markets. Was desperate for the TA item, as she is one of my fav heros. To the point where I considered trading Deadmanza for my QoP wings from DAC. Happy I didn't... He would of scored big with that swap! :p

Well I play maybe 2-3 games every night, with my 2 boys, maybe more on weekends.

And I like hats. So, I will buy it. And so will they.

Would also allow me to really get "into" TI6 and enjoy it for what it is.
