Dota 2

I think if they buff Puck it will end up being the new go-to mid once Invoker and OD get beaten with the nerf stick.

I'd be OK with this :p At least puck it cheerful to play against... Invoker is a bit of a dick :D

Finally calibrated my solo MMR. I'm waay down in potato bracket. 1.9K. They pick 4 late game carries, nobody knows how to pull and nobody buys a BKB ever. Slogging my way out of that is going to be painful.

2.1 k... we can get out the trench together

I'm starting to think that pretty much everyone in the SA community gets slapped with 1.9-2.1kmmr , regardless of skill.

Welcome to the mash potato bracket porchrat :D

Sounds like a plan :D

Not at all true. Everybody I usually cue with in my 5 stacks is calibrating at around 3K to 3.5K.

Ah ok, well that's good news I guess, assuming they calibrated while playing SA ranked and not EU?

I'm curious though. Did you do any calibration matches back in the past?

I'm not saying I'm not 2.1 now, but I did my 10 calibration matches bout 1 year ago on the EU servers, and at that time, I had only been playing the game for about 6 - 8 months. Since then (until #OSR) I have only played unranked. So I'd like to think we hidden MMR is a bit higher than my calibrated rating.

I did almost all my calibration matches back when I first started dota in early 2014 late 2013. I only did I think the last 2 recently to finally get my MMR and those last 2 I did on something like 800ms ping. That was probably a mistake. :p

I have no idea what my hidden MMR is.

Also did my calibration about 18 months ago on EU, worst mistake I ever made, should have just played more normal pubs to improve before going ranked.

But then again, I feel like I'm in the right bracket most of the time...... potato-4-life

I definitely don't feel like I'm in the right bracket. I didn't realise there are people who don't know how to pull, who don't understand that auto-attacking the creep wave will push it (or that that is bad), that single pulling actually pushes the lane instead of pulling it, that BKBs are required against heavy magic damage line-ups, that you can stack neutral camps. I'm not used to that level of competence in dota. I'm sure I was like that once but I haven't been at that level for so long that I'd forgotten it actually is a thing.

It doesn't matter though. This is the bracket I'm in now so I'm going to simply accept it and have fun :D

I play eu ranked and I started at 3k but I win 4 games and lose 4 everytime. I think I'll start playing a and spam one hero.

Finally go a few free mins to play last night.

Got into a ranked match (my 1st) after about 10 mins my power went off and hasn't come back on.

So I think I am the lowest ranked player in South Africa at -mmr.

That's the spirit!

Yeah, I think a couple of us all fell into the same trap. Doing the ranked thing way back when, and then just leaving it for ages until now. And getting a piss poor calibration.

Unfort there is no way of finding out your hidden MMR, but it works in the same way (gain points for winning, lose points for losing) as ranked gameplay.

But, it just means the struggle continues, and we will push on. Trench for life! :p

Don't worry. I'm coming to challenge your title :D

Last night I was in a party with psychotic bunny and the same happened. I didn't even have any ironed shirts for work.

Personally I think if you are able to go 20+ kills in almost every match you are in the wrong bracket.

Depends what role you're playing. I assume you mean if you're actively participating in 20 kills a game?

When playing ranked at my MMR I only play mid, I tried supporting but got tired of being poor and seeing AM players go 1-10 in a 30 min game and saying they did good job
