Dota 2

Played against a 4 stack who absolutely pounded us 53-19. Some great team work from them and we were punished.

After that we were matched with them again. Expecting to get wrecked and seeing a pa and troll I went Cent. We gave them a taste of their own medicine by winning 40-3.

The feels!

In other news....RTZ joining EG again, as well as Cr1t who will Captain the side.

They released their new Roster yesterday.

Will he go mid or leave it to Sumail?

Old man Fear the coach!

He wants to carry so safeline. I actually really like the team.

RTZ will stay in EG now as I suspect he hated PPD

On paper it's a good team. many would argue 3 of the best carries in their respective lanes out there at the moment, with 2 very decent support and a (unproven) coach that has done it all.
Safe-lane would also suit RTZ's more greedy style, while Sumail can do what he likes and that's be aggressive.

As with all pro teams, it will come down to chemistry and drafts, both which is unknowns at the moment.

PPD is still part of EG and will manage the team, Im excited about the new team, looking forward to the next big event, and all the other players that is teamless and what teams will be announced with what players.

Yeah i think this EG roster is going to be good...

Lets hope the Asian Trio in Secret can still keep me a puppey fanboy haha :P

Anyone know when the next big tourney will be, or something that will feature the new lineups of the top teams?

Well we played the lifestealer storm thing, which kind of wrecked late game, Must say Lion Mid wrecks a storm early game.

But the Prophet was braindead first item aghs no boots GG Kappa

Yeah wasn't a good game. We carried 1 friend who was completing his last few hero's on his AHC (Chen in this case) and he's a complete noob. Our mid Lion is pro, NP was a random, so, we got beaten badly.

Win some/lose some :) Well played!

I'm not entirely sure, but if Valve sticks to the format of 3 Major's + TI then there should be a "Winter major" during our summer, towards end of the year.
Last year was Frankfurt (Or was it Shanghai?) and that normally goes hand-in-hand with a Winter battle pass thingy.

Tried your Lycan jungle pushing Havox, was lekker until their tanks got too tank and they had one base camping :( keen to try it again against a less tanky team. Any tips?

Yeah, it's a great strat but kinda need your mid and at least one other lane to win.
Space creating heroes like Pudge is always good to peg the team back.

This is how we run it normally :

We normally have a solo safe-lane that can stay out of trouble while even attempting to do some tower damage (Jakiro is great for this)
Dual Off-lane then tries to aggressively push their tower.
The other key is to gank every time your ulti is up. By that time you should only have vlads and nothing else (7-8min) but don't worry about boots as you move at max speeds as wolf anyway. Very hard to stop a wolf gank at 7min.
Get back in the jungle, and farm those necro's. (Also don't forget blightstone, really helps the towers...)

Then....15-20min (vlads, boots, blightstone and necro's 2's more than likely) in, let your team create a 4-man distraction in the off-lane and as soon the fight breaks out take the tier 2 and t3 (maybe rax too if you have necro 3' already) and then it's GG from there.

Rinse repeat basically. The cash injection from the towers means either necro 3's and or Desolater and then you can simply man-fight them anyway.

We got this down, usually wins games in about 25-30min.

Again, this only works if you lanes can hold up and you don't give away an early advantage. Also if the tact fails for 40min you pretty much screwed. :)

P.S. This is a great counter-pick strat for team that pick late-game heroes like AM and Terroblade, by the time they on-line the game is over.

For reference, I have a 73% win rate wit Lycan....not bad.

Hi All

Are there any 5-stacks out there looking for a friendly regular skirmish?

We had a regular date but we have "outgrown" them to the point where it's not much of a challenge anymore.
We looking to play maybe once a week, 1 game, maybe 2 if time allows it, and must be captains mode. We would like to aim to start around 19:00-ish, as two of our payers are still at school.

Skill? I don't know really....
During the battle cup we all calibrated tier 4-5 with one at tier 6, should give you a decent indication. If I had to guess we'd be around 3k MMR, one guy maybe 4k, although I could be totally wrong.

Guess we'd have to play and see.
We a friendly bunch, no pressures or anything, and we are totally flexible with times etc. We actually all have real lives/family :)

So, drop me a pm or mail me at [email protected] and we can try set up a game.

Yes i loved the MDL games.

Still hope for Secret, I think their main issues was being out drafted.
Now i can actually watch EG as i disliked PPD a lot...
