Since no longer WFH, I decided to downgrade from 100mbps to 20mpbs in September.
1st October came and I received the expected 20mbps download speed thinking everything went smoothly. Checked my Afrihost dashboard and saw I'm on the 20mbps, which is enough for 2 TV's and maybe a laptop.
13th October I received a shock, I'm still billed for the 100mbps line when I'm on the 20mpbs package. A few chats and emails later I was assured Afrihost changed the package to 20mbps but failed to inform Vumatel to do the same. After a few speedtests and checks the support team promised I need to wait till the end of October and they'll get back to me with solutions.
1st November nothing, but this time I did receive the notice from Vumatel that I'm on the 20mbps line. A few phone calls, Whatsapp chats emails and I'm no where closer to the any answers
@Afrigirl @AfriNatic is this some sort of penalty Afrihost customers pay for having to downgrade?
The invoice the agents failed to explain, how a 20mbps package costs R897
