download problem

Good day to you all,

I seem to be having a problem downloading files. 50% of the files I try to download get's to 99% and then it gives me a time out error. I then cannot resume this file and need to start from scratch. It is not rapidshare or hotfile specific, it's all over. I have tried various download managers, i have switched from IE to Mozilla. I have even tried changing service provider but even that had no difference.
I am running windows 7

Any help will be appreciated

have you tried internet download manager? thats the best download manager and if it cant sort out your problems.... nothing will, its pay software but look around on the web, lots of virus free pirated copies around, running the latest version (cracked) without any issues

are you per chance with mweb ? if you are then pm the rep i know this is a prob with mweb subscribers and a thread was started about it in the adsl section, check there and pm the rep, he is aware of the problem and a fix was issued however if you still having a prob then it's obviously not working

How much free disk space do you have? Can you do a disk clean-up? Scandisk and Defrag?

What File system are you using ? FAT32 or NTFS? How big are the files that you are trying to complete?
