Before I go to work in the mornings I set free download manager with a couple of 200mb links for series from my Rapidshare premium account.
When I get back from work - nothing is downloading and it probably downloaded max 2 files and then just froze up.
I have now tried 2 laptops and same thing.
I stop that download and start another one and off it goes again, I can't seem to be able to leave the thing and let it download - needs almost constant supervision.

Anyone else having trouble?
Could it be a Windows 7 thing?

Mecer laptop
Windows 7
1GB ram
SAOL uncapped.

I installed teamviewer on the laptop but can't seem to connect at the moment, must be the connection.
What can I do?
Can I login into the modem and reset it?
Should I get SAOL to reset the account?

Ah...this bug again - I custom wrote a program for another chap on mybb to fix this problem

My program basically closes your rapidshare manager every X minutes, and then restarts it again.

unfortunately, it does not work in Windows 7 - only in XP and i think Vista

Hi Keeper

When you say rapidshare manager?
I'm currently using freedownload manager, tried flashget but I don't really like it.
That's what I was thinking as well, maybe getting the pc to restart or something, do you know where I can get the program?
I'll be switching to XP today.

I can give you a Demo to the program tonight if you want?
of course, if you want the full program it is going to cost you a few bucks.

But doesn't Rapidshare Premium supply you with their own Downloader app? have you tried it?

Have you tried a program called Jdownloader? Been using it for a few months and haven't had any problems with it and it works great with file hosts such as rapidshare and all the others.

Going to give it bash now and try their downloader, or maybe another option is to get the laptop to restart every so often, but corrupted downloads?

So far tried flashget, now on free download manager which is nice, will give the rapidshare downloader and Jdownloader a chance.

The other guy didn't have any complaints - afaik the RS downloader is resumable so it just continues...

I also used to have this problem, think it has more to do with the crap software than the connection.

I am now using Jdownloader, a bit of a hassle to configure, but it works brilliantly, will never use anything else.

I use the Jdownloader when using the dlc files but Orbit download manager for everything else. Works very well but not the latest version, This version... Lightweight, free and easy to configure application...

Oh, Orbit interacts nicely with firefox and IE but not so well with google chrome...

Think there are a problem with the international connection again, i am trying to download goods via international and its mother slow. Using openweb FREE upload account with 5gb download (they advertise its not throttled).

yeah I also HAVE this problem on my spare PC... with FDM

But when I download on MY pc then its not a problem... weird...

Logged into my premium account and under logs it shows it's downloading again :) at 1.3 gb for tuesday.

I'm also trying a free program that restarts the pc.
