How do I change the dpi settings in windows xp back to 96.Currently its sitting at 120 and everytime I try to change it I get an error that says settings will only be completed once fonts are dowloaded and windows is restarted.I dont want to download fonts ,I just want to restore it to the default.
What should i do.
Thanks

It asks if you want to download fonts or use the currently installed fonts. Just click no, and it will change to what you set it to. Or insert your XP cd and let it download the fonts from there. Hope this helps...

@charlh.Sorry my bad it does talk about installing fonts but there's is not a NO option on the prompt. It just says OK.Xp came pre installed on the pc so I don't have a disk.I do however have an xp disk for another pc.Will it work on this one.Thanks.

You can try it- it should work.
What happens when you click ok?

As soon as I change it back to 96,the prompt appears.Clicking on ok leaves it on 96.But when I escape or restart it goes back to 120.Thanks.
