Dragon Age: The Veilguard review – Thank the Maker, it’s a triumph
Solas is back, the fate of Thedas hangs in the balance, and a new hero has been chosen. Our spoiler-free Dragon Age: The Veilguard review is ready, are you?www.gamingbible.com
Is it even worth it to look at reviews by the media? In my opinion it is best to look at user reviews, but it is also best to give the game a go... then again, games are expensive nowadays.
This guy pretty much summed it up. Whoever was even slightly critical of the preview didn't get a review code...Is it even worth it to look at reviews by the media? ZD and Future plc have long aligned gaming reviews. Both media conglomerates who have historically made huge turnarounds. Whatever they are doing, it works. However, it is easy to see the culture they crave, and narratives they carve.
Who knows, perhaps Veilguard is not a bad game. I think that the reviews are littered with bias though. It is more a question whether the inclination is incentivized, nostalgic, or genuine?
Regardless, everyone has a right to an opinion. I am sure the game will have its crowd among these parts too.
Yeah. Its bit frustrating that 2 out of 3 of my trusted YouTube reviewers didn't get copies. Neither fextra or wolfheartfps got any but mort did really like it and I trust him.
Pretty scummy by Bioware.
I normally trust reviews by Mortismal Gaming and it's his game of the year so far which is pretty impressive. Personally, I'll wait for it to come to Game Pass.

Well as a huge fan of Dragon Age (and Bioware in general), I will get Veilguard even if all reviews were negative.Genuinely neutral review from Skill Up. He lists all the pros and cons and justifies it. Didn't once mention anything about woke or non-woke. It's actually just really sad, I had high hopes for this game. Will be skipping it and picking it up on sale or waiting for Game Pass...
Edit: another one that pretty much mirrors the Skill Up review.
And no I'm not going looking for negative reviews, just good old fashioned honest ones because I want to know whether to buy it...
I feel like people are just looking for things to be offended by at this stage tbh. Obviously you won't even see that dialogue options if your own character isn't a tranny.Glad to see resources being spent on the stuff that really matters...

The last couple of Bioware games (Andromeda and Anthem) were both failures. Dreadwolf aka Veiguard was always promised to be Bioware's redemption so the fact that it is being praised by critics means it is indeed a return to form for Bioware.
