Hi guys. Im new to the site and a about 2 weeks into web design.

I am currently building a website with dreamweaver and its going quite well. following a few online tutorials. but i need help with a few things.

I want to install wordpress into my index.html homepage so i can update it daily with blog entries...
My web host has fantastico but i'm not sure how to install it and what to do to get it incorporated into my homepage with the same theme as my website etc.

Regards
Geoffrey

I'm morally apposed to dreamweaver. FYI. You can't install anything in your index.html. You probably mean the root of your website. With wordpress you need to incorporate your theme into their theme. Loads of tutorials on how to do it. And it's more to do with wordpress

Use Fantastico to automatically install any of the scripts listed on the left.
Click on any of the items on the left to get more details.

I've never used wordpress but if your host has it listed on the left (going through cpanel > fantastico) you install it through fantastico afaik.

Short description: WordPress is a blogging software with a focus on ease of use, elegance, performance, and standards with a huge selection of themes and plugins.

New Installation (2.8.2)
Disk space required: 9.04 MB
Disk space available: 883.5 MB

Suppose you click on New installation and off it goes. From there I've no idea but would imagine it has admin and login things.
From there you would need to sync dreamweaver with your website to sort out the theme. Hope this helps.
