My cordless drill chuck is ****ed.

Bought a 1/2 20 UNF chuck from torkcraft but the thread size is to big for the cordless drill. Its 9.5mm

I don't see that they list it under the specs and the only other size I can find is the 3/8 24 UNF

Should this work? Before I wase more money

I don't know how any of this works, so i just go to Builders and say "Can i have something from Bosch to do XYZ" lol.

What brand & model?

10mm or 13mm chuck?

So many questions ...

Yes, it will..

The retard units refers to the thread size, so the 1/2" 20 UNF would fit 12.5mm thread and the 3/8" 24 UNF would fit 9.5mm thread..

Retard units. Haha!

I also just take the device or part to Brights or Buco and ask around like neo.
Sometimes I bend the knee and ask my dad or Father-in-law.

So it a little black and decker also as guys said in the thread, if I just converted the bloody freedom units it would have showed me it needs to be 9.5mm.

Now to look for a good one and not crappy one

please just spend a few more Rands and get a decent drill like a Bosch Professional (they're the blue ones) I've had mine for almost 20 years and use it so much it's like a worn out prozzie... and still it never breaks, never gives up and I can still drill it without a hickup

You buy kak you just end up buying it twice, or three times, or 10 times

I have a Bosch and a Dewalt cordless drill.

I prefer the Dewalt over the Bosch. But both is good. I just feel that Dewalt has a bit more oomph than the Bosch. Same set of batteries. Bought both in 2017/2018, not to sure when exactly.

To Op, is it worth it to fix a B&D cordless drill? Those arent quality tools, just rebranded chinesium drills.
