DSL Line activation issues!

So it's a now better time than ever to move to adsl, more spesificly the Mweb R899 DSL & Uncapped 4Mbps bundle. Now comes the issue, 3 years ago I canceled my service with telkom and moved to Neotel, now that I've canceled and decided to move back I can't get telkom to activate my line again for use with Mweb.
I Phoned 10210 today where a sales consultant told me that I have to get a closer plan to get my line active?
What bs is this?!

That is often the cheapest way to get your ADSL.

Take the lowest closer plan you can.

cancel the closer after a month and keep just your normal line...

Is there no contract involved with the closer plan? Don't want to pay a cancelation plan ontop of that too! By normal line do you mean the dsl or do I have to now rent a voice line too?

No, Closer is month-to-month. Yes, a voice line is mandatory for ADSL access. So it's voice line + DSL + data.

Thanks dj, never knew this before today. Only when digging up old invoices I saw that there was voice line included.
