So I walk into the office yesterday and there is a note on my desk from my technicians saying that "something went wrong and they could not connect to the internet."
Well it took me all of 30sec to determine that there was a power spike and this tripped the DB box, the UPS took over kept the PC's running but as the DSL modems (3 X 4mb/s) are fairly new they were running on a different power grip and was not on UPS.
2 hours of messing about (which included the power tripping 6 freaking times
) I get 2 DSL modems up and running and connecting.
The aftermath is this
Now the reason for this post
Telkom supplied the modems can I contact them and ask for replacements?
Will I be liable for the cost of the replaced hardware?
The installation was done on 09 December 2009
