DSTV 2010 price increase Poll - Please vote

People may vote yes, however can be real cowards. When they have to really go through with it, they will simply back out
 
im gonna vote no: reasons been
*inflation, increased costs , tax - im used to bending over ( you should see my montly internet bill)
*secondly it wasnt a surprise to me - i expected it with the same level of confidence i expect to get flamed for this post in some way
*what will a 1 day suspension do, more effort that its worth (this might achieve something, a suspension fee, assuming there isnt one, or a reconnection fee - or something bad)
*dstv is a luxury (altho a fairly crappy one to be honest) and i realise i can just cancel it if i can no longer afford it - its not like its the eletricity going up (now that im upset about but i consider that a necessity and not a luxury)
*wtf am i gonna use to bore me to sleep with when im battling to sleep if i dont have reruns to watch?

Cancelled mine already. Will wait for ODM & S5M and see what they offer.

+1 On a lot of those. Given the addition of extra channels, the R35 odd more I'm paying is feasible.
 
24 hours, ha, big deal. Multichoise will be shaking in there boots. I suspended my account permanently, all those repeats and in fact very little programming, WTF must I pay R500+ for. Only thing I miss is the Rugby but that's what they have sport pubs for. Multichoice can kiss my @rse.

Why not just cancel it completely to prove your point?

Exactly, getting myself a Mede8er hopefully by the end of the month and moving onto an uncapped account, so I can get my content fresh
 
Personally I think DSTV is great value for money and a 6% increase is inline with inflation. I really don't understand all the controversy surrounding their annual increase...

As for downloading content I do that too but I use DSTV purely for Sport. I'm nuts about sport and that you cannot download...
 
DSTV doesn't help non sports fanatics and even the kids get bored with the reruns of cartoons. They are quick to suspend service if you are even a day late in payment and then make you pay a R50 reconnection fee. This time I've decided to let it remain permanently suspended purely by doing nothing.
 
LOL, paying R500 for re-runs....are you fscking kidding me?

Agreed. If they cancelled Supersport I would probably cancel my subscription..
 
They dont give a d*mn. They do as they please. There is no competition.
As far as cancelling your subscription is concern, its not gonna make huge difference to them, only to yourself. R500.00 odd of saving.

In mzanzi they ve got more than 1.5 million subcribers. Do the maths

With the high difinition television hype, you alone, will be left out in the dark.

I hope they broadcast F1 on high difinition channel.
