I am so glad I canceled my DSTV HD last month. Much better things to waste my money on, like signing up for gym membership and not going, at least there will be more variety than what is available on DSTV.

Not long, think it's a trial channel from what I read previously. I do like the channel though

True - but it was also not the real SciFi channel. Endless repeats of Z-grade "scifi" films and reruns of rerunned Star Trek episodes with Mr Spock.

60cm dishes are a bit small for Sirius 4, especially in Cape Town. This means a new dish. 75cm or preferably 85cm.

i cant really be bother with supersport, but i know many other ppl do
i for 1 will prob keep my DSTV premium package and take the ODM premium pcakage, and if super5media come on board soon then have all of em, n eventualy take the least viewed outta the equasion!

What I would love to see would be a bit more music channels!! In the UK there are at least 2 rock channels Scuzz and Kerrang and here... we have the Afrikaans one.. can't even remember what it's called but it's sooooo tragic. Sometimes just put it on for a good laugh. MTV doesn't even play music anymore!! What's up with that?? There are just lame ass programs like Super Sweet Sixteen - make you want to reach for the nearest minora blade!! Instead there are two channels of R&B and Hip Hop and VH1.....
I haven't even heard of ODM - how out of the loop am I??? Finally some competition! But does everyone think that it's going to be the biggest letdown ever just like Neotel was with their service??????

Same. VH1 was heading the way of MTV. Nice to be able to switch across and get some quality tunes for a change.

Govender also said that ODM will provide Fox Entertainment, MGM and other international channels for the first time in South Africa; ODM is in discussions with Multichoice to explore the possibility of acquiring content from DStv; customers will be able to use existing DStv satellite dishes with the ODM service, but the dish will have to be repositioned; ODM recommends a 75cm dish and the ODM service has been designed to be more stable in bad weather than DStv; and the electronic programme guide (EPG) for ODM has been designed by the NDS Group, a division of Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. In terms of sport, ODM will not provide rugby, cricket or PSL football at the launch, it will however, gain rights to niche sporting content such as martial arts.
