Hi

I'm house-sitting and am stuck getting DSTV to work. I switched the TV on and a channel was playing. Then I used the remote to bring up the TV guide (left arrow) - but when I chose another channel it showed a blank screen, with the info at the bottom. No channels play now, even the original one. I can try scrolling through channels with the P+ and P- buttons, but all are blank.

The only thing I can play is recorded material by pressing the red button.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

It happens, just swith it off at the wall for 30 seconds, aswitch on, allow it to reboot and rescan. Just follow the prompts and press ok. In a few minutes it will be back.

Thanks - I should have thought of that.
Also found this guide here.
I'll try just now when I get to the house.

Happens a lot with the SD dual view decoder. Then nothing works even the playback.

So how do you fix it when this happens? It's still not working after rebooting and rescanning...

Sometimes it takes multiple reboots. On the rare occasion I had to do it 5 times and each time a different problem would show up. Also takes a few seconds to a minute after scanning to work properly.

Thanks - it worked after unplugging from the wall again.

I also have the same problem. Before it worked but now it has gone black for 2days

On my Mi Box. I have to press the back button twice... then I get back to the menu.

If I click back once , it will give blank screen. Click back again on remote.. then I'm in dstv menu. No need to unplug.

This happens all the time to people with DSTV, unfortunately I don't think you will be able to get an answer before thread is hijacked by gays and philosophers.
