DSTV Broadband now available

And here I thought DSTV were going into the ISP business, does anyone else find the title to the story misleading?

@teraside - there is a button saying online help if I remember correctly that takes you to the following page:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/wi...&id=C00D11E2&contextid=71&originalid=C00D2751

I downloaded the latest version and installed it
Still not working
Then I cleared out the DRM area as suggested and rebooted.
When I started WMP11 after taht, and clicked on the link, it asked for content to be downloaded.
Afterwards everything worked perfectly

DSTV Broadband is the name of the service so I'd say the title is accurate.

Yeah, I realised that after opening the news story, you have to agree though that its the wrong wording for whats on offer.

Tunebite is your friend where DRM is concerned. Works perfectly.

Assuming that local does not contribute to the cap ....

Then I presume the 500MB movies could be downloaded from DStv broadband without contributing to the CAP.

Is this correct?

lol no!

actually i don't see a use for this site, would a video recorder work just as well? alright you missed your Egoli episode now you can download it whoopee

It seems to be working fine today ;) They must have had issues yesterday. It's DRM and all, but after entering the email address and password the videos don't request it again, like it should :p

Pffft - if i want to watch re-runs, I would watch DSTV live.
I have Tivo for the rest.

I'm sorry ...who is paying R5 for a gig?? Am I living on another planet?? ...whats the catch?
I have wireless Internet and a top up gig costs R150 ...what infrastructure are you using that costs R5 per gig?
IS 30gb local only account for r130 comes out to r4.33 per gb.

DSTV Broadband prompts me to update Media Player

This stupid site does not allow me to download anything today.
(although yesterday I had success).

It prompts me to upgrade my Windows Media Player.
The minimum requirement is Media Player 9.

I have version 10 installed !!!!!!

:mad::mad::mad::mad:

I'm waiting for telkom's uncapped local bandwidth, perhaps coming soon.
