DSTV call center is useless today

Bought a second HD PVR, call them up to activate it. It was fast and all that but they said they are having problems with delays and it will take sometime before the decoder start to work. So I need to check when it starts working and call them to activated extra view again.2 hours later the decoder started to work, I called them again explain everything and they said they will activated the extra view but they are still having issues so I needed to wait. After hour both started working for about 50min then my primary decoder started to show E16 error.

Now I am calling them again every time it goes through their line drops, or I hold on for 40min and then it drops:twisted:

I tried all the numbers to no avail. I tried to log in on https://selfservice.dstv.com/self-service/my-account/ does not work!



I have for years never called them and now that I need them its just bloody useless

Experienced same a while ago,surprisingly the twitter team are quite fast responding. I won't phone them ever again
 
No problem,i've had responses under an hour when tweeting after 10pm even so it's definitely my goto
 
Did you know this is the 21st century and you could have done everything on their website? Unbelievable, I know.

Seriously, you hardly ever have to call them after they added the more advanced self-service to the site.
 
Some issues (esp billing and more advanced technical issues) still require intervention from their end. I've actually broken the website functionality once by only switching bouquets so not holding my breath for the marvel that is their site
 
Yeah, I take that back.

I'm trying to log in at the moment to check my balance and its stuck on the login screen.

That being said apparently quite a few sites are having issues today, not sure if its interlinked to the same problem or not.

It just keep stuck on login. But like wulf said their twitter guys are fast

Can you setup XtraView on the website now?
 
Awesomeness...

Its the only reason I ever phoned the call centre. Won't have to do that anymore...
