Are you impressed by the planned DSTV Flex package? Is it what you've been waiting for or is it a case of too little and/or too late? What would you change?

Load of crap. Not worth it. Hell, their streaming doesn't even work properly. Pixilation on a 50Mbps fibre line and dropped connections? Pfft...no such issues with Netflix, Britbox or even YouTube.

I am not paying R648 a month just to watch F1
+ R265/yr for SABC licence.

No

Yes..

Will be doing the R 99 pm add on..

I don't watch sport no more and the only reason DStv is still going, is for the wife and kids who just can't get over it..

Will be grateful to save on this bill..

F1 TV is available in SA without the need for a VPN, has all races live incl. driver cams and the various F1 talk shows, and a huge catalogue of recordings, all for $5 per month.

Go do that in 4K at a fraction.

My pleasure
Best value streaming service on the planet imo.

If it wasn’t for my mum watching Dstv and having that as her only entertainment we would have turned off Dstv ages ago.

If anything I would probably move to downgrade and remove the sports and then buy a F1 subscription to F1 Tv

I must be doing something wrong. Tried it out for the Italian GP and it was buffering in the grid walk already.
And it's not 4K either, 1080p and still doesn't have an app for Samsung Smart TVs so you need a Chromecast or you have to hook up your laptop.

Mods are unpaid volunteers and have been since the beginning. While rpm et al regularly ask their own questions any thread I start, including these polls, are 100% mine.

FWIW I've never been shy about voicing my opinion when it comes to DSTV - I'm not a fan.
If not for money, what is in it for you?

My bad about the 4K, it looks like 4K compared to streaming DSTV live though.

I've never had buffering and I use it on my Apple TV running cabled ethernet.
