Dstv missing channels

I have had a bunch of channels missing for a while now. Decoder was tested and working fine. This week more channels have disappeared, notably Sabc1 & 3, which have become HD channels. Dstv for the last 6 months cannot figure out why. And given obvious HD changes to sabc they should know. Other HD channels do work though. I have got the ‘HD Decoder Model4u’

Cancel DSTV. Save a bunch of money each month. Use Netflix. Enjoy your savings.
 
Looks like you missing a signal...

Get a good installer to come through..
Could be settings on the decoder or the lnb or the positioning.

Agree with the above.. get rid..
But sport..
 
Before calling installer:
Remove all cables and attach again.
If still missing, call installer.
 
Have the same channels missing for a long time now, I don't watch them so have not tried to resolve it.
 
Tried unplugging everything & resetting. Might have to get an installer. But I would probably buy a new decoder with dish & installation for R450 from game, then pay R300 for an installer to come & say we need to replace something.
Schumi Maybe it’s a location thing, I’m in Greenside. Or maybe it’s coz I have the smaller older dishes. Anything in common?
 
Based In Durban old 4 tuner uec pvr decoder also have the smaller dish extra view installed but have not used it
 
I also have DSTV HD Pvr 2u decoder and channels are missing. Called DSTV call center but they couldn't assist. Rebooted a few times and no luck. The explorer in the other room works 100% which is the primary decoder. Please advise.
 
Same problem, Only the SABC channels get error E48-32, all the rest are perfectly fine. And this all of a sudden simultaneously on both holiday and Main decoders, more than a 1000k's apart. What are the odds !??
I smell a RAT, and it's DSTV
 
Do you have a smart lnb or a four port lnb as dstv has moved some of there chanels mainly hd on to the new high band that only a smart lnb or a four port lnb connected to a dstv multi switch to get high band and low band.
 
Experiencing something similar here. I got extra view with Hd Pvr 2 tuner (primary) and p2 pvr (secondary). Work fine for the most part but just in the last couple of weeks a whole host of channels have gone offline. When I select a faulty channel, the decoder changes to the channel, the channel number is displayed on the tv but the decoder panel indicates the previous working channel and not the currently selected faulty channel. I've tried the usual resetting and rebooting etc etc and I've contacted DSTV via live chat twice now and they reckon installation or faulty decoders. I suspect installation, dish perhaps? We've had some intense storms around here lately. The behavior is consistent on both decoders!!

What say the experts? @Geoff.D
