DStv Now only works on official Android TV boxes

at a Telkom store? Do you just walk in and apply. Also i take it that gets addded to your account, or what happens if you are month to month?

Telkom direct stores only, the others will show you away.
I may be slightly off on the monthly price, wasn't really interested in that, as I cancelled my Telkom line at the time.
 
Hmmm the app has stopped working on my Galaxy Tab S3 too. I reinstalled it and it just shows a page where the style doesn't load and one can't log in.

It is a Google Certified device however.
 
Have a Mediabox 4k ...
Solution ... switch off all "auto app update" options in play store , as well in MBX app installer.
Uninstall DSTV Now
Download this apk ... http://downloadapk.net/DStv.html ver 1.6.4
Install it and run as per normal.

You have TV Guide back as well as menu and the sports channel's all work.
 
I do have android dstv ver 1.1 which plays on all devices just send me a PM.
 
Was this after an app upgrade?
 
Hi All

Picking up on this, what is the android solution, as it seems like my Android box is not certified. Should I go for the MiBox, the new local supplier, of rather the Telkom LiT box?

While I strongly support any notion that Multichoice are douchebags, why use DSTV Now on a TV box instead of just, you know, watching DSTV normally?

CatchUp content is better on DSTV Now app, even though DSTV says you can plug a WiFi adaptor into the decoder to retrieve more CatchUp content, it doesn't work.

I use a TV box for the second TV which is a 2013 dumb panel...gives me Plex, YouTube, DSTV etc.

Of course it works. BUT it takes plenty of effort to get it to work. And once it is technically setup, you then have to jump through all the authentications steps ...

Why would i want to stream DSTV's rubbish on any box? lol. I'll stick to Netflix, iTunes and other things thanks.
