DSTV Price hike justified

Time for some people to start a "I hate DSTV" website i guess

I don't understand everyones problem. This is not Europe and the US where we can get SKY, HBO, etc. Comparing DSTV to these services is like comparing apples and oranges. Therefore, a measly R 500-00 a month for some decent channels isn't a bad option considering the alternative, which in my opinion means watching no TV at all.

I watch TV maybe two or three times a week for about an hour, so I guess this is why I never seem to get affected by the repeating of shows you guys are talking about. Whenever I do decide to watch TV, I can always find fresh, decent content and I think R 500-00 is worth it for that.

NO IT IS NOT! 500 bucks, or even 1000 would be OK as long as the content was decent high class worth watching, the picture wasn't all blockly low quality mpg, the sound poor and the service, well i won't mention that!

But R500 for a pile of rubbish (appart from the odd channel and sport) no way.
Thats a rip.

Not as bad as Mnet tho.
Those guys are getting ripped left right and sideways.

Whats it now, 300 bucks? Do they still have only 2 channels or have they added a couple more?

... exactly. R500 for top notch stuff without the incessant adverts is money well spent. There's a line between being greedy and offering a service. That's what the majority of peeps are b*tching about.

Sad thing is that for most of us, there isn't really a choice unless you want to watch Homemark adverts all day long on SABC and E-TV

I strongly agree. All these deluded DSTV fanbois are clearly losing it
