DStv prices increase next month

I would just like to point out, before anyone launches an attack, that these price increases are well in keeping with inflation over the past financial year. Price increases are never pleasant but sometimes they can be justifiable - just my two cents :)

I would agree if they were not still repeating everything from last year.

Hmm me thinks it must be a knock on effect of the electricity price increase..

Noted. Just sad that after all the increases lately on everything.....these kind of luxuries will be canceled.......which in turn means a smaller subscribe base, hence, a bigger percentage increase next year and etc

6% - pretty much keeping with inflation. But still, I can now get an uncapped ADSL line for less, and just download everything I want to watch. For live sport I'll go to my golf clubhouse with a cheap bar and huge bigscreen TV, or go watch it live at Newlands. Hell, for that price I can get Grandstand season tickets for me and the wife.

Well 30 bucks is not all that bad, they got german soccer now as well so for 30 bucks i am happy :D.

Rbarry so you will match one or two sporting events a month as opposed to just about any massive sport :D. Sorry but i would rather pay 530 a month than go to bars which will end up costing more. Depends on how much sport you watch i guess.

Rugby
cricket
soccer
f1
moto gp
super bikes.

Doubt i can get all that at sports bars for 530 a month.

+ 1 000 000

So its around R600/month? Great.

Is a 4mb line fast enough to stream tv ? Or do I still have to wait awhile.

R 539 a month. What free service offers 24/7 tv streaming? Not to mention you would need uncapped and uncapped 4 meg is like 2.4k a month :D.

then +R65.

There are various sources of TV online, some good, some bad.

haha... you poor suckers! I am so glad I am no longer part of this moneymaking scam. A fool and his money are soon parted.

Awesome stuff :D. Would not like to see that broadcast on a 42" though.

If it was not for sport i would not have dstv.

Whilst I don't agree with piracy, that option is sounding better by the minute.

Calling in to downgrade Premium to Compact again today. Tired of being raped by all and sundry. It's about the same price to rent a brand new movie every day. The only thing worthwhile is the sport.

Ya well i sadly have no choice but to pay 600 bucks for a month worth of sport :D. I would not feel great if i was paying 600 rand and never liked sport :D.

Nom nom, 4 meg uncapped 2.4k dstv 600, so you are going backwards by 1.8k :D. I am confused dude.
