Nom nom, 4 meg uncapped 2.4k dstv 600, so you are going backwards by 1.8k. I am confused dude.
TBH, they have been increasing the price of the premium package by R30 every year now. I"ve got DStv since 2005 and I started with the R399/month in 2005. Now, its R529/month. I just blew that yesterday at the mall. Fueled the car with 100 bucks, Short trip to Spur (R160), before the movie (R48x2) with some pop-corn and that crap cola (R70)....400+ bucks...sooooooooooo.....no need to complain on my side....
And no, I'm not going to the pub to watch a game. 6 pack = R35, at the pub, it'll be like R95....plus some chow......
there is no way I'm cancelling my subscription, especially with the Formula One season starting this month....![]()
That's not the problem in good ol' R-S of A.....ooohh...no.....they'll bluntly tell you, boet.....its Rugby....if there is no Rugby, we will switch over for you, but if there is Rugby, that what we'll watch....Right on brother, people moan about 600 bucks i can bet those same people blow tons of cash on alcohol, cigi's uncapped internet. Besides that what pub is going to be open to watch quali at 5 in the morning and the race the next day
Gary i know all about tv series dude, like i said the only reason i have dstv is sport, i only watch it if i am really bored but otherwise it is just sport and then i download series, movies etc. Don't have the patience to watch a 40 minute series with 20 minutes of ads

I would just like to point out, before anyone launches an attack, that these price increases are well in keeping with inflation over the past financial year. Price increases are never pleasant but sometimes they can be justifiable - just my two cents![]()
This increase is reportedly intended “to accommodate the rise in cost of operations
Less subscribers paying a LOT more is MUUUUUUUCH better than MANY subscribers paying a little![]()
These kind of things irritate me...
To cover "operational" increases.. why don't they jack the pricing of advertising on their damn channels instead of screwing their clients over
They know that (honestly) less subscribers to support, their lives are easier, can you imagine 20 million subscribers moaning about a non-functional PVR? Far easier to milk those that "have" to have it for sport.
Sure but the general trend around the world for TV and internet/telecoms is to decrease prices. Only in SA, land of the monopoly, are prices allowed to increase.I would just like to point out, before anyone launches an attack, that these price increases are well in keeping with inflation over the past financial year. 600 bucks for sport is worth every penny in my opinion, if you don't watch sport dstv is not worth the money.
