DSTV problems?

Then you should get a HDPVR... you can KIND of set them the way u wants..... or at least exclude the rubbish channels you don't watch

Sounds like the standard call center answer. If after reading everything on the chart the problem is still not solved, then its a installation or decoder problem.
... is true that ... after half an hour the dumb cow resorted to the "eish yes. installation or decoder problem" :rolleyes:

... only in March (fsckin finances :o)

1110 = R380 @ hifi corp
... one thing to never buy in SA ... at least with Teljoy, if it breaks, it gets replaced.

1110 is that price from everwhere. Cheapest of the cheap. They're trying to make entry to the service cost as little as possible. Interesting how the decoder is cheaper than the monthly subs.

Inkjet printer syndrome.

I don't have a problem with my TV, but there is something else that bothers me.......
I wanted to check for the Australian Open tennis programme, but had to use a magnifying glass! Channels 3,5,6,7 & 8 are all just about soccer this month.
I HATE SOCCER!

I can't get any sport's channels SS 3 & 4 on compact either.

It surprises me that DSTV is still around. I used to have DSTV for a few years but the programming repeated so often and the quality became so bad that I eventually turned it off. It wasn't worth the R470 a month.

Has it improved?

so I baggied the LNB and cut down basically the whole tree on the neighbours side of the wall and presto, I didn't even lose signal in the storm last night :D

have yet to deal with the neighbour when he sees that his tree is mostly gone, but ja, fsckit, mah dstv is back :D

well, it's in his yard but it had grown in front of mah dish ........ I had to lean (read: basically go over the wall) to cut it away :o
