Hey guys. Just wondering if you guys maybe know of a solution to my problem...which is VERY irritating :(

Every time I switch over to M-Net or Animax the sound on my decoder jumps to 0. I've got one of those R399 decoders, 1110 or something like that.

Will be highly appreciated if you guys can help me before I spend the time on the phone trying to explain my situation to the help line.

It's not a bug, it's a 'feature' of this model - mine and another I know of do the same. Pain in the bottom but hey, that's multichoices' state-of-the-art hardware for you.

try this ..

To set the specific volume for each individual channel: press menu - advanced options - TV settings - enter: 9949 (default code) - set user volume - now set the volume for each channel.

You may have been watching a show with an interactive thingy on it, like Idols or Carte Blanche. The volume may mute during these shows if you press i or exit or change the channel or if the interactive thingy is removed when the show ends. If this happens just adjust the volume again. Those interactive thingies are annoying.

I have one of the 1110 decoders and haven't had any problems. Maybe you should take it to the multichoice branch ask them to check it out if the above solution from Onraji doesn't work.

Also try the decoder's menu - advanced settings. There is a menu where you can set the default sound level per channel. Cannot remember it off the top of my head and I'm 1200kms from home!!

+1 for this solution
