Has anyone else noticed a bug with the DSTV Stream web interface not displaying show titles for live channels, until mousing-over the channel thumbnail?

It's been an issue since the latest subtle interface redesign a few weeks ago.
Reproduced in 3 different browsers.

2 screenshots attached of the Live TV channel list to illustrate it:
  1. First one without mouse-over
  2. Second one with mouse-over channel 201
Curious to see how many other users have and haven't run into this.

Same thing in my Firefox browser, I think for everyone. I usually use Kodi to access so doesn't worry me.
Seems intentional, part of their new "clean" design.

Maybe worth experimenting with possible short-cut keys.

7 weeks later, looks like they fixed it today - all channel titles are now displaying without needing to hover over.

Except... now the streaming service doesn't work in a browser in Ubuntu again, have to use Kodi. 1 step forward, 3 steps backwards

Also, have to keep going back manually to the Live TV section now, so clearly a whole lot wrong / being adjusted.

That's annoying - no getting around this new "Home" page. Thankfully the Recently Watched channel list is still under the obnoxiously big Netflix-like banner show ad on top, but yeah, a direct link to bypass that, like it used to be, would be much better.

Worse than that this morning - not working on Kodi either now, and in our case can't even use dstv.stream on a browser in Windows. Really messing up badly again

Hope the Kodi issue is also temporary, the error given suggests they may be trying to kill it

Not just you, broken in the browser here too. Assuming it's a system-wide issue that'll hopefully lead to a quicker fix. Copium.

Looks like they're actively working on the site, Home page is now different and they've also brought back the Live TV direct link at https://dstv.stream/#/livetv

All useless though for now while streaming still doesn't work

Turns out it was Brave Shield's "Block Trackers & Ads" feature. Deactivating that allows the stream to play.
Wow, so we have to let them track our browsers to use this R1000/month service?

Me too, but I turned off my uBlock Origin hours ago with no effect then. Could just be a temp fix, let's see...

So this is now broken again, since they force you to pick a profile every time you go back to the site. And now again, picking a profile redirects to the Home page, rather than returning the user to the page they came from.

And now the Home page auto-plays a show trailer on full volume. Are they using the UX/UI designers from 2007 MySpace?
One step forward (show titles) this week, and 3 steps back.

So it seems they may have reverted to an older version of the web player?
The relatively recent Restart-Show-From-Start button has disappeared, and also, the streams now work again with ad/tracking blocked.

A bit of... fun... for the devs over the past few days perhaps.
