Dowload a file manager to your device, load 2.3.19 on usb drive, turn auto updates off in app store, install apk via file manager. How does one sideload 2.3.19 onto a Litbox?
Didn't try myself but a friend of mine said he was unable to sideload onto the Litbox (had no issues sideloading his Mi though)Dowload a file manager to your device, load 2.3.19 on usb drive, turn auto updates off in app store, install apk via file manager.
Was on 2.4.5 for half a day and the crap started again, sideloiaded 2.3.19 and smooth as butter!

For those with issues with 2.4.5
We found that you get the best results by uninstalling the app (on an Ematic or LIT this will take it back to 1.0) then forcing an update all the way to 2.4.5
We have a person testing out the DSTV app for us on an Ematic on a daily basis for many hours a day and no issues have been reported since 2.4.5 was installed.
Yes, that is exactly what you do.So do we do:
Select DSTV app > hold > info > uninstall updates - then goto play store and update ?
Some screenshots may help
I have installed DSTV app version 2.4.5 on 2 Ematic boxes the last 2 days. Works perfectly
The trick is to unplug it from the power 1st for 10min. Then uninstall DSTV app, clear cache, clear data and restart
Now update to version 2.4.5 through Ematic official update setting and then relink to DSTV. Should work like a charm.
Thanks againYes, that is exactly what you do.
Will try get you some screenshots today.
Then its basically the exact same as on Mi Box... I just deleted 2.4.5 and set auto updates to off before I installed from file managerWell, I figured out how to sideload 2.3.19 on my Litbox.
The normal rigmarole (stop app, clear cache, data, disable update, etc) with one added step - disable the app.
Then use File Commander to sideload. When you click on the apk it asks if uiu want to upgrade the builtin app, click yes and voila!
PS: I did not unplug the box at any point.
yep. worked for few days then my mom messaged me again to say it aint working.I believe 2.4.5 is broken again. Can anyone confirm?
