I recall something about Open Time not allowed because of complaints by other broadcasters or something.I don't think that the government broke Open Time ?
There is nothing stopping DSTV from doing it again.

That's weird. BT Sport 1 works, 2 and 3 not. Both are working for me.
Its not that hard. We used to have international rugby, cricket and F1 all on free to air channels. It used to work.
EDIT: I'm taking exclusively about sport here - even though it could apply to other forms of media.
Other non live content should be sold directly or bundled in a reliable service like Netflix.
Its insane that there are movies/series that I can't buy in SA. I'm going to use other means to make those accessible in that case.
Did they tell anyone?DSTV had an Open view this weekend. All Sport channels open to all packages excluding Grandstand but it included all the URC Matches, Premier League, All Internationa Cricket and Toyota Challange and then the usual others like local soccer and F1 if there was any because Motosport was also open.
I'm using tvone112, maybe that is the difference. That's weird. BT Sport 1 works, 2 and 3 not.
I'll try reinstall kodi.
I think what is important is that they can easily do it.Did they tell anyone?

I was wondering why the cricket was working on the media player and the phone.I think what is important is that they can easily do it.
Even if they add an Open Time channel to all their packages.

I already have FTTH (30/30), and I would still want the PVR experience regardless. I'll be ok.Why not sign up for the premium streaming option or do you need more than a 25/10 line
Thanks, working now.I'm using tvone112, maybe that is the difference.
You mean back when people paid their TV license? Its not that hard. We used to have international rugby, cricket and F1 all on free to air channels. It used to work.
Is it 112 or 1112?Thanks, working now.![]()
I haven't tried 1112.Is it 112 or 1112?

Sports has never been a big draw for me in SA. Too much of a busman's holiday to interest me.
Bit of chicken and egg scenario, but probably. You mean back when there was content on SABC worth watching and thus a reason to pay a TV licence
