I am actually getting sick of DSTV and all their advert.

Watching some prime shows gets very anoying when there is 5 1/2 minutes programme and 2 1/4 minutes adverts.

Sorry if there have been other threads about this but it is on my chest.

The worst is the Discovery channel, they play the same adverts over and over. It drives me insane!

I just enabled DSTV again, for my recovery after my op.

Big mistake. There is nothing to watch. Im a glorified channel hopper. Sick of the repeats.

Really not worth the money.

I'm considering subscribing again (cancelled in October) just for the sport. I still see the same adverts that played in October playing nowadays!!

And mnets ad breaks.. don't even get me started. It's like they intentionally miss the ad blocks put into a show by the producers.

yes i activated the full package and notice how many adverts there is. maybe i didn`t notice it before they just as bad as sabc or worse!!!!!!!!!!

I've noticed that as well. On mnet during a 1 hour show there used to be ads roughly every 15 minute, but now its every 10 minutes. Its really irritating.

I filled out an customer feedback form the other day (on-line) and as soon as I started complaining about all their irritating adverts the site cut me short and thanked me for my time. So much for customer feedback. Maybe start a facebook group, or march on their offices..

You guys think its bad here, move to the States! Example: 8pm, commercial, The Simpsons credits role, commercial, show starts, commercial every 5 mins and so forth. Remember that most programming comes from the states ... so yeah.

The more popular they think a program/slot will be, the more they flog it dead with ads. Masterchef Australia, NCiS, CSI NYC, etc are all overloaded. Thank goodness I can record and fast-forward through all the ads :D

Guys, watch DSTV in demand if you have a PVR - no ads.
Regarding ads though, my guess it has always been the same all over the world.
Thats why shows are 40 min and 20 min to cover for 1hr and 1/2 hr. Ads are technically 1/3 of what u watch.

To be fair Mnet series don't show a lot of adverts, I know this because their shows finish before schedule

If you got the Menopoly you can do what you want , what thy say if you dont like it , you pay for it

+1 ... The shows are only 40 minutes if you take out all the ads

And the adds are always alot louder than the programme you watching.........................

Well your average TV program is about 43 minutes but fits in an hour slot and your average sitcom is about 22 minutes but fits in a half hour slot so they have to fill in the rest some how.
