Hi Everybody

I have a SD PVR.
I recently moved into a new house and decided to do the DSTV install my self. The new house had a singl lnb I swopped that for a twin lnb and ran an extra cable to the decoder. The LNB is working perfectly.

My problem is the bedroom Televisons. I have three bedrooms and each room has a tv with a Tv Link.I purchased all equipment from Space TV (Johannesburg).
I bought:

SLX/Active 4 way splitter
2 Tv Links (Space Tv Brand)

The RF out of the PVR runs straight into the Input of the Active splitter and each output of the splitter runs to a tv with a Tv Link. The forth output is left open.

The problem is that the two brand new tv links do not work ,while the old multichioce tv link connected to the third tv works perfectly. I have cheacked the power on the Tv links (all tv links are powered on). I have also tried a SLX Splitter that is self powered. The TV Link box states that it is compatible with all multichoice pvr and dual view decoders but it is not working. I have also tried to connect one TV link (the newly purchased ones) without the splitter but it still does not work it has power but does not change channels, increase volume, etc

What could be causing this problem and how do I fix it.

Thanks Guys for the help

Can you run more than 1 tv link.
There is not a amp or some dc block thing in the way.
I will test 1 tv link at a time.

was considering this - maybe have to do some additional research before I go out and buy.

Hi

There is no amp and I have tried a single tv link at a time the multichoice tv link qorks but the other space tv one dont

Have you tried putting one of the Labgear TVlinks at the third TV, where you have the MC TVlink? Maybe it is not a link problem... Check voltages on the cable with a multimeter, from center conductor to braiding, at all positions. Should be over 9V DC.

Hi Guys

I have tried the new tv links direct out of the rf out(no splitters,dc blocks, etc) the new ones do not work at all while the old one does.
I called Space Tv, the person whom I spoke to told me that other customers are returning there tv links maybe its a bad batch made. I am going to take it to them so that they can test it out and maybe exchange it with a working one

Thanks for all the help guys
