DStv's embarrassing streaming limit and resolution

DStv offers far fewer concurrent streams than other major video streaming services in South Africa, in addition to an inferior streaming resolution.

The MultiChoice-owned company controversially reduced the number of concurrent streams on all its packages from four to one device in March 2022.
Was a wise decision. Everyone signed up for more subscriptions to compensate for the reduced limit. Oh, wait...

My view is that if they limit it to multiple streams from a single IP, uptake will be better.

It was frustrating during the Olympics to not be able to watch from more than 1 device in a household.

I didn't watch any of those. I'm sure they have their moments, but the idea of paying a grand a month for...that. 'tsek.

100% on the same boat...

I might pay for say the Rugby World Cup if I couldn't reliably stream it from somewhere else for less.

Would this classify as a mobile device?
