this is DSTV we're talking about, the mandate was never to compete with other companies, it was to try provide the least possible for the most money...

My view is that if they limit it to multiple streams from a single IP, uptake will be better.

It was frustrating during the Olympics to not be able to watch from more than 1 device in a household.

I didn't watch any of those. I'm sure they have their moments, but the idea of paying a grand a month for...that. 'tsek.

I might pay for say the Rugby World Cup if I couldn't reliably stream it from somewhere else for less.

I know, but in my situation, I then have to setup VPNs and all that for the folks just so they can watch it and it gets messy and clunky.

The quality of the actual stream from DSTV is shocking, and dont get me started on the horrendous app. A simple log off to exit the app would solve for alot of the issues.

For Olympics, Wimbledon, Tour de France, I did very well with BBC iPlayer, and ITVX. YouTube was also a nice gap filler.
