DStv's one device streaming limit kicks in

I suppose if one had to google something to the effect of m3u8, you might find something to please the unhappy people.
Problem is you'll spend hours sorting through channels to find the ones that work.

Mommy will be replacing DSTV with netflix/amazon/disney for her sanity.
Netflix want to limit password sharing by going after people not residing in the same household.

People inherently [probably] want to do the right thing, but what these corporations need to understand is piracy is for free.

They want to limit it to a single IP. I do pity people sharing IPs, and it would complicate those using VPNs to bypass regional restrictions.

Anyone tested if the limit is in effect?

It will be interesting to see if Dstv will publish the subscription stats over the next few months and see that Customers have left the platform, Or spin Numbers to make their decision look justified.

Many fewer streams, same-ish subscribers. Improvement in ratio. Self proclaimed win?

I wonder how this will play on the advertising income... I think they doing themselves in, people will revert to piracy, pretty sure we have been down this road before. I mean really - 2 concurrent streams to 1. You got this one wrong MC.

Breach of contract BUT it will direct people to free streaming sites.
As for sport... It will encourage more sports bars and people will enjoy the outing after COVID.
Maybe it's a plot to destroy DStv to make an opening for the corrupt?
Definitely breach of contract. Your current subscription INCLUDES 4 streaming devices. Cut 3 devices and cut the price accordingly, that's how it should be. Ironically, 1 April 2022 the subscriptions are increasing.

Mark my words... they will "allow" people to stream on more devices at an additional cost per device. LOL - think we not seeing the strategy to get people to pay even more for what they've already paid for within the subscription price.

DStv XtraStream incoming you say? Bolt-on to XtraView

As a "by the way" I'm busy trying to stream my one Device, Hisense Smart TV, and program's buffering and now says whoops Per1.. Never had this problem before. Roll on end of month. Useless bunch of knobs.

Nothing's stopping you from cancelling

Last nail to dump my premium sub+2 viewing I kept for my folks and sister to stream with

It would be sensible to link the stream zones and the viewing zones on the subscriptions. This is horsedoddle

I really don't think so as they dev team is not the brightest of people lol they can't even fix simple things like buffer size limits and do proper troubleshooting on Android TV boxes before pushing the new update to the app, as the apps keeps hanging, freezing and sometimes not even loading the channel.
