Shhhhh, DStv is the devil remember.
Well, DSTV still makes sense for sport.
I just don't understand how watching people play with different size balls in different ways doesn't get boring after the first 1000 hours.

Luckily F1 is not played with a ball, so we are safe to watch it for another 1000 hours.Well, DSTV still makes sense for sport.

Have you seen this yet/aware of it?Too many buttons? I don't know if you've ever seen a Roku remote but there are about half the buttons as a DSTV remote.

Not sure how I missed it. This was the first DStv streaming thread I've seen in over a year.In hindsight, you probably shouldn't have been Dan C in the rain that much ...
I'm now gatvol with this nonsense - I have removed all *other* devices from my dstv now and yet I still cannot stream on my pc. Does anyone know how to actually reset the login / password? #uselessnochoice
Any luck with the problem?I'm now gatvol with this nonsense - I have removed all *other* devices from my dstv now and yet I still cannot stream on my pc. Does anyone know how to actually reset the login / password? #uselessnochoice
This.I wonder how many legit complainers there are over us leeches who were dependent on shared creds. This move is draconian, they should have tried to find a way to let legit subscribers watch over multiple streams in a household. Sure, it would be a bit complex, but they need to not go for the easiest most inconvenient solution.
This.
I'm so pissed off since it was very convenient for my 85 year old mother in law to watch TV in her room and for me or the kids to watch something else on a tablet or pc. Now I'm back in the situation where I have to mediate between the kids about who gets to watch what on the main TV.
I see no reason why they can't permit more than 1 device at the same IP address.
Purely anecdotal, but a friend of mine said him and four of his friends were sharing one account so they could watch sport. These are all middle to upper class people. If I run DSTV's streaming service I would definitely see this as a problem.
Yep.It was likely a desperate and shortsighted as they were struggling financially. They should have learnt that it's impossible to beat Pirates and this may actually make things worse for them as it will make the Pirates work even harder to find a solution.
Not even Amazon and Netflix take such drastic steps.
Yep.
Someone posted above that he had anecdotal feedback of a couple of buddies sharing an account for watching sport - I can easily envisage a couple of people streaming a game via Zoom/Facetime/Whatsapp video if they're desperate enough and are wanting to watch the same game - might not be great but would be better than dodgy streams and impossible to police/prevent.
So good to see that their coding is as reliable as everToday I managed to use DSTV Now on two streaming devices at the same time, logged in different profiles. Just did it for 20 mins to test
