Hi, I am considering getting a Dual SIM phone. Have seen the Kalahari.com phones, as well as Hisense U939 and a few others.

What have your experiences been with dual SIM phones?

I am generally looking for something with at least 1 GB RAM and Android 4.2

Am currently using the u970 and am super impressed, running an afrihost 5 + 5GB sim for data and my cell c contract sim for talking, works flawlessly.

I have a Samsung S4 Mini Dual and a S5 Dual.

Both work flawlessly, absolutely great for data or when travelling overseas.

I'm also considering a dual sim phone. Here in Saudi they have a decent range including the Note 3 LTE duo for about R4500 and it is so flippen tempting (the single sim is the same price btw) The S5 duo is about R6500 and the Moto G is about R2200.

Where did you buy the u970? And for how much?

Zest T1, comes with free data. Dual SIM functionality very useful.

Just be warned that some people have had trouble with this phone.

Why do you need dual sim when you can use Afrihost's APN with a MTN SIM card?

I have 500 mb data bundle on my telkom contract (tablet) that I want to use, while using telkom prepaid for calls.

I havw adsl at home, so I don't use the bundle atm.

Been following the zest thread, too scared to touch them.

Moto G dual sim. Used it for about 3 momths already. Am switching to that as my primary as I need my Angola sim on roaming at the same time.

No issues at all
