e-tag beep

the exact % actually is irrelevant, as long as the % e-tagless folk is enough to make the system crumble - my guess is probably around 20% without tags, will crash this corrupt system....

Yes, I have proof.

The government came up with R5 Billion at the last Budget speech to put towards the cost of the Tolling system.

Why didn't they just use the R5 Billion to pay of the R6 Billion cost of the road upgrades instead of allowing SANRAL to spend a further R14 Billion on erecting an unnecessary Tolling system?
 
slightly off original topic, but i read somewhere they won't charge you more than r550 pm (iirc), is this applicable only to e-tag users, or will it be capped for rest of the 80-90% that don''t have e-tags

Only the e-tagged get the cap.

I got an email from SANRAL which specifically states that registered users will not have to re-register.
