Have you restarted your computer since updating the firmware?I have updated my E220 firmware and installed the "dashboard" on my XP PC (I do not have Vista). However, the MTN dashboard just says "invalid data card" and then does nothing.
You cannot start the MTN dashboard software after the Huawei (or Vodafone) Mobile Connect software has run. You'll need to remove and re-insert your data card and then run the MTN dashboard software. If the Huawei Mobile Connect program pops up when you insert the card then you haven't installed the MTN dashboard update correctly. You can also try disabling autorun (which is probably a good thing for security anyway) to prevent the Huawei software from automatically running.
