Earning by age category

This is very much a "How long is a piece of string" question - but I am interested,

What should one be earning in their late 20s to be "doing well", or at least be in line with the average [within the skilled work force]

It depends on the job your doing, but in the end makes little difference.
Focus on what your earning and what you want to do about it....much more productive
 
Depends on your location as well, Cape Town has better salaries but the cost of living is higher for example...
 
That would be amazing but by observation:



20: 7k

25: 10k

30: 15 - 20k

40: 20k plus


Probably depends heavily on field of study. If you reach the age of 30 and you are only earning 20k in the software industry you are failing hard and your boss is really screwing you over (unless you live in PE :p )
