Easy Equities good or bad?

Any help appreciated. :)

Brand new (never bought an ETF, etc in my life) to investing and currently have all my savings in a 10% per year tyme bank account.

I have an EasyEquities account and about R10k that I can’t put into Tyme. Where should I start?

Any podcasts/stand out investment suggestions would be greatly appreciated :) I’m only planning to use this money in 3-5 years
Satrix msci world. Thank me later

Equities right now, you should have a time horizon of 10+ years. I would not have a clear continence if I recommended to someone to invest in equities for less than that.

Deposited funds will be held for a 14-day "clearing period"

What does this mean? Is the money not available to buy shares or is it only applicable on withdrawals?

Only applicable on withdrawals. Probably to protect them against fraud?
If you deposit money and use the correct reference, you should be able to buy shares same or next day. This has been my experience. The deposit reflects almost instantly on their side. I use FNB to FNB.

Thank you. :)

What I seen, if you pay per debit order, your last debit order is locked in, as you can still revert it 40 days after it went off.

I seen this now after I closed my satrix now account

Their excuse is they can't distinguish between EFTs and cheques. Personally I think it's nonsense as references for cheques are different that those for direct deposits but giving the benefit of the doubt it could have something to do with their API backend.
