Easy Equities good or bad?

PIC offloaded a huge chunk of RMH day after dividend - that's why it's so cheap now.
I see RMH is the lowest it has been in 5 years (layman here) but surely being a bank this would bounce back and its an ideal time to buy?

Its an insurance firm actually, not RMB

But the big guns owning RMB is HEAVILY invested in RMH still !

Their price dropped when they uncoupled from RMB (as in RMH going on their own)

Thanks for the extra info. So good time to buy then.

Layman here as well. Looking at trade volumes (but trade count seems lower), I get the feeling that few big players are cashing on yo-yo. For example, if someone had bought 500K worth of shares at 1.21 few months ago, they could have dropped it in the market when it was 1.94 and made 300K gross profit.

Maybe this is what happens for all the shares. :)

Honestly, if you bought at R70 per share, you will NEVER make it up now ! Sell.

But if you have some money ... I would still invest with RMH (this paying dividend now is something refreshing !)
Assuming they pay dividend next time onwards ;-)

Looking at EE selling now ...

Lets take Ash Mid Cap as an example

EE selling -> R7.14
EE buying -> R7.29

Sharenet stats :
selling -> R7.29
buying -> R7.14

It looks like all shares are swopped around (or is it right actually)

wouldn't Buy always be a bit higher than Sell though ?

p.s. Never mind. I suppose it will depend on demand & supply.

You got it right the first time. The number you can buy for will always be higher than the number you can sell for at a point in time. Any overlap gets matched and traded and is therefore removed from the pricing.

So to say: is EE then a great investment tool?

As you dont really buy or sell at the “real” price...

Lets say I have share X... and its projected now... I am 27% up.

When I sell, I might only get 21%...

What do you mean?

Also, it's been said 1000 times in this thread, EE isn't great for day trading.

I never sold anything on EE. Just curious to see how they get their “sell” prices

So if I think again, in the last finWeek mag EE made R50 000 000 in profit (if I recall), in their last financial year

I don't know what you mean by "real" price, you get the market price. But EE is great if you just want to leave things without recurring costs. But if you regularly sell and make big profits you are better off on another platform where you can control the price.

Thanks for the reply

I never sold 1 share ever ! Was just curious earlier looking at the current price vs listed (as per EE)
