Easy Equities good or bad?

I think its the spread you guys are having problem with.
in the market depth pic i posted(thats non EE its via absa accnt)
if someone buys 1 unit at the ask the last price will post at 729
if someone sells 1 unit at the bid the last price will post at 716

You can see that in the t&s on the right side where it varies from 730 to 716 as people brought or sold.

In the long run it probably doesn't matter though. Not because a few percent doesn't matter when investing but because you'll probably pay more in fees on other platforms than any extra you might be able to squeeze out. Unless it's millions then it probably makes sense to pay in order to net a few extra percent at the end of the day.

It looks like all shares are swopped around (or is it right actually)

They're both the same thing, the first shows what you are buying and selling at, while the second shows what someone else is selling and buying at, which you would buy and sell at respectively.

You're talking about the difference between the 15minute delayed price and the live price.

Most platforms have 15 minute delayed prices unless you pay for live price. EE does have the tokens you can purchase to see the live price.

I do have the tokens and access to the live prices somewhere else - buys and sells on EE are spot-on live prices.
 
Why does it take 5 business days for cash to be settled and withdrawable after selling some USD shares?
 
If I eft R1000 and buy EC10, how does the locking period work?

Can i sell the next day? How long before i can withdraw those funds to my bank account?

Can't see any clear data in the T&Cs. Thanks.

You can buy and sell on the same day even. There is no lock-in if you need to sell.

Funds are available for withdrawal 4 or 5 days after selling.

If the funds came in via debit order, I think I saw longer periods before you can withdraw.

Ah, that one. Yes works the same as any normal share.

I also remember something that if you EFT there's a 10 day waiting period to withdraw that money because apparently their provider can't distinguish between EFT and cheque deposit.

Cheques are dead. Most banks have stopped from the beginning of this year.
