Easy Equities good or bad?

0.8% TER is about 4 times the cost of an S&P 500 ETF. I still feeling the pain of buying MSCI China, so I will sit this one out.
I saw the high TER.
Do you think MSCI China will recover or is it a bottomless pit?

I am in. Got burnt by MSCI China though. Let us see what it's main enemy does. At least I seem to have friends in most of these companies.

Nah - 0.82% TER - not interested.

Not sure what will happen, but it has scared me off of emerging markets.
China is a unique case though considering the authoritarian bent of they powerful government. You just don't see a capable government regulate capitalism like they are planning to.

I won’t participate in the IPO, but will add to my list of ETF debit orders.
If you going to buy it why not get the ipo benefit, if it's the same as other satrix ipos you get a nice break on fees.

I own a little bit of the underlying ETF in my USD account. Will buy some in my TFSA account (for the record, I never touched the China ETF).

May as well take a long shot bet on India being the next China.

Me too on MSCI China.

Think if willing to stay with a China or a India for say 10 years you'll likely make some money.

I see my days with EasyEquities won't be much longer - second month in a row that unit trust orders have just gotten stuck, last month was for weeks.... and as is widely known, their support is crap.

Question to those who the EE platform. When buying or selling you have 2 options,

Buy / Sell at best available bid
Only buy / sell @ bid >= R x.

That R x is fixed, can you make it something else?

So can I config a bot (or something) to sell if above stock falls below R9.50 for example? (Same applies for buying at some conditions).

Not yet: I think they said they're working on it.

At that point you might as well move to a full-fledged broker who will have that functionality.
